Melissa Harvey’s process- driven work examines the complexities of abstraction and
representation through the use of techniques, processes, images, and language
drawn from vernacular cultural and prosaic experience.
‘Pulped’ is a
wall drawing / painting made from sprayed fiber, from recycled cotton fabrics.
There is a dialogue of domestic histories between the contrasting surfaces of
the pulp medium and the Marrickville Garage’s walls, a story of the everyday urban experience.
